From early morning sessions for the early birds to evening classes for those who prefer to train at night, we’ve got you covered. Outdoor fitness classes in Portsmouth for all abilities

Portsmouth Outdoor Fitness offers a varied timetable of 20 classes a week, at various times throughout the day. Each class will be different and will use a variety of training styles including:

  • Body Conditioning using equipment
  • High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
  • Circuit Training
  • Cardio
  • Strength
  • Functional fitness

All classes are 45 minutes and structured around a full warm up and cool down.

We use a wide range of equipment including kettlebells, barbells, battle ropes and medicine balls.

Instructors will provide options for exercises for varying abilities based on a 3-tier fitness scale; Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. Members are encouraged to perform to the best of their ability to ensure they get the most out of the class.

The meeting point for all classes is next to the D-Day Museum, on Clarence Esplanade. Any changes to the meeting point will be shared on their social media profiles.

Last Sunday of every month will be a Trail Run Club – there will be no class.

Portsmouth Outdoor Fitness is fully insured.

All outdoor classes MUST be booked in advance on the BookFit app. Please don't just turn up. Ask for details. Classes can be booked 1 week in advance.

If you are unable to attend a booked outdoor class, please cancel your booking on the app with as much notice as possible.

All classes will use a variety of training styles.

POF Lite

POF Lite is held every Saturday morning at 8.30am.

Perfect if you returning to exercise after a break or injury, or if you are looking to start your fitness journey, POF Lite is led by our experienced trainers.

The class is tailored to help you build strength and confidence in a supportive environment.

Run Club

If you want to improve your running, why not join us for POF Run Club?

Held weekly on a Tuesday at 6pm, run club will use a wide range of training techniques which are focused on helping you to improve your running. We welcome all abilities and, like the main classes, they are structured to suit beginners and advanced runners, and everyone in between!

In addition to our weekly run club, on the last Sunday every month we run a Trail Run which takes us out of the city into the surrounding country parks. It is challenging and very fun!
