Whether this is your first time attending a fitness class, or you are a seasoned gym pro, you can be confident Portsmouth Outdoor Fitness caters for all levels of fitness.
Portsmouth Outdoor Fitness uses a 3-tier bib system based on beginner, intermediate and advanced fitness levels.
At your first FREE taster session you will be asked to complete a Health Form which our instructors will review, and following discussion on your exercise history, will allocate you a bib level. The class will be structured around the three bib levels, for example, repetitions will be scaled and allocated dependent on fitness levels.
At your first FREE session, our instructors will review your health form, discuss your exercise history and advise which level we would advise you to start on.
We would allocate you to one of the three levels:
Beginners – Rarely exercises or trains.
Intermediate – Exercise’s approximately 2/3 times a week
Advanced - Exercise’s approximately 4/5 times a week
We would advise against wearing expensive gym clothes that you are not prepared to get dirty or wet. You will be training outside and exercises may be on the floor with no mats.
We would strongly recommend wearing sports trainers not fashion trainers.
Instructors will not be able to carry any ‘extra’ clothing you bring and take off during the class.
We would advise against wearing expensive jewellery or watches. Please feel free to wear a fitness watch/tracker. No mobile phones are to be carried during the class – please leave these at home/in your car.
Car keys can be left securely with the instructor.
